Designed for law firms and corporate service companies, the CCAS Court Index Search Training is organized into five sections and provides a practical framework for professional court and public record research. The course explains how records are created, indexed, searched, and interpreted across civil, criminal, recorder, and related systems, and why historical recordkeeping and legacy data practices continue to affect modern search results. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, consistency, defensibility, and risk reduction.
Registration and Program Benefits
The $250 registration fee per employee includes access to all five course sections, a Certificate of Completion, and one year of post-training Q&A support with a CCAS subject matter expert. Participants must enroll at least 24 hours prior to the course start date and complete all sections in sequence to qualify for completion. (Law Firm & Corporate Service Company rates may vary)

A standardized, step-by-step framework for executing court searches with accuracy, consistency, and defensibility.
Section Four: Common Court Search Errors Across Record Systems
Identifying and avoiding high-risk errors in civil, criminal, recorder, and multi-system searches, including online and in-person research considerations.
Section Five: Service Representative Responsibilities and Search Logic Support
Defining best practices for submitting clear search logic requests, supporting new researchers, and managing risk through proper intake and escalation.
Completion Quiz
The Completion Quiz verifies a participant’s understanding of CCAS court index search methodology and core research principles. It assesses the ability to apply structured search logic, evaluate results neutrally, document findings properly, and recognize common errors and risk considerations across court and public record systems.
